Toy care guide

All of our toys are handmade with 100% platinum cure silicone, made with care for your safety and enjoyment.

Platinum cure silicone toys, require proper care to ensure their longevity and maintain their quality. By following these guidelines, you can keep your silicone toys in excellent condition for years to come.

Regular cleaning

Before and after each use, it is essential to clean your toy. Start by rinsing it with warm water to remove any surface debris. Then, use a mild, fragrance-free dish soap or toy cleaner specifically designed for silicone toys. Gently lather the toy, paying attention to any textured areas, and rinse thoroughly (using the dishwasher works fine too).

Deep cleaning

It’s good to deep clean your toys once in a while to prevent bacteria accumulation or when you want to share with somebody else, use a deep pot and fill it with clean water so it covers the toys entirely, boil for 3 minutes, this would kill any microorganism that could cause any sort of infection. Only toys made of silicone, glass, rock and metal can be boiled, don’t try to boil thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) products or toys made with mysterious materials, as they could melt or seep out potentially toxic substances.

Rigid stick popsicles

These pops have a rigid plastic core embedded within the exposed part of the silicone stick, while this plastic piece doesn't fully melt till reaching around 160c, it does start to get soft at temperatures above 60c, requiring some extra care when boiling, even if it's only partially submerged with the stick out, the temperature will be enough to make it soft and malleable but since its completely and tightly enclosed significant deformation can be evaded simply by letting the part cool down with the stick hanging down or hanging the whole popsicle completely vertically from the heart shaped hole in the stick, once it reaches room temperature it will retain its shape once again, this process will not degrade the plastic and actually might make it a bit stronger in a process called annealing.

Drying

After cleaning, pat your platinum silicone toy dry with a clean, lint-free towel. Avoid rubbing or using rough materials that could scratch the surface. It is crucial to ensure that the toy is completely dry before storing it to prevent the growth of mold or bacteria. Leave it in a well-ventilated area or use a clean, dry cloth to speed up the drying process.

Storage

Proper storage is essential to protect your platinum silicone toy from damage. Store it in a cool, dry place, avoiding placing it near TPE or unknown material toys, as they can melt and cause deterioration. If possible, store your toy in a fabric bag or plastic box to prevent dust and lint from accumulating.

Lubricants

When using lubricants with your silicone toy, it is crucial to choose the right type.
Silicone toys are compatible with all lubes that do not contain silicone, like water or oil base lubes. Oil base lubes are incompatible with condoms and most condoms are pre-lubed with silicone base lubes that are not compatible with silicone toys (you can get non lubed condoms if you want to use them with toys).
Avoid using silicone-based or hybrid lubricants, as they can degrade the silicone material over time.
Always check the lubricant's compatibility with silicone toys before use, but when in doubt, water based is the safest bet.

Remember, proper care and maintenance are essential for preserving the quality and longevity of your unique handmade silicone toy.
